The RYA YachtMaster Theory is an advanced course for more experienced skippers, or those wishing to build on the RYA Day Skipper Theory course.

RYA Yachtmaster Theory Course ContentThis course will take your theory knowledge to the standard required for the Yachtmaster Coastal and Yachtmaster Offshore practical exams, concentrating on advanced navigation and meteorology skills.

RYA Chart Plotter
Please download the RYA Chart Plotter before your course – an activation code will be provided for you in your first session. The chart plotter is compatible with PC and Mac and will form part of the navigation element of your course.
Previous experience required RYA Day Skipper Theory
Duration 40 hours
Max instructor ratio 12:1
All training materials, RYA almanac and exams are included.
You will need to bring a pen, 2B pencil, eraser, paper and a Portland plotter and dividers.
We can provide a Portland plotter and dividers for £23. If you would like to order a set please mention when booking your course.
