Rolex Fastnet Race 2019
The Rolex Fastnet Race 2019 is one of the most famous offshore yacht races in the RORC calendar. Starting in Cowes it races to the Fastnet Lighthouse and finishes in Plymouth.
This is a prestigious event and an experience of a lifetime.
Take part on our fully race-prepared Sigma 38’s and race in a true one-design Class.
We intend to race two Sigma 38’s against each other, whilst training and racing. One yacht is a Ladies only, versus a mixed Gents/Ladies yacht.
Rolex Fastnet Race Package
Equinox Sailing have put together a comprehensive Rolex Fastnet Race 2019 package which includes 4 qualifying offshore races and 3 training weekends, 2 on the water and the ISAF Offshore Safety course and an RYA First Aid course. This will give each crew member over 1,500 nautical miles of offshore racing and training. We believe that it is one of the most complete packages available, aimed at building your sailing experience, confidence and speed.
The crew must compete in a minimum of 300 nm offshore racing prior to the Rolex Fastnet Race 2019. We will be competing in 4 RORC races prior to the Rolex Fastnet Race 2019 allowing everyone to gain the required mileage. The Rolex Fastnet Race 2019 is not a race for beginners, but with the training and qualifying races included in our package you will have the experience necessary not only to compete in this classic offshore race but to excel in it.
We aim to minimise the days of leave you need to take, by maximising use of bank holidays and weekends. This package will take 4-6 days of weekday holiday, including the Fastnet race.
