RORC Offshore Racing

RORC organise of some of the most prestigious offshore racing events, including the Fastnet race.  RORC races are a fantastic way to spend a weekend.  With races to St Malo, Le Harve, Cherbourg and Guernsey to name a few, each race has it own characteristics and share of challenges.

Myth of Malham
230nm race to Eddystone Light house off Plymouth, starting and finishing in the Solent.

Morgan Cup Race
100-140nm race to the Channel Island of Guernsey.

Cowes – St Malo Race
175nm race to the walled city of St Malo on the Brittany coast.

Channel Race
100-140nm race starting and finishing in the Solent with a course set to the prevailing conditions.

Fastnet Race 
This iconic 600nm race to the Fastnet light house off Ireland, finishing in Plymouth.

Caribbean 600
Starting from and finishing in Antigua the route zig-zags around 11 Caribbean Islands- 600nm of interesting and exciting racing.

Middle Sea Race
Undoubtedly one of the most spectacular 600nm races in the World combining awe-inspiring scenery with warm waters and competitive offshore racing.

Three Peaks Yacht Race
A shorthanded Category 3 off shore race. Team Rho (five sailors) will sail from Barmouth to Fort William.  En route the race stops for pairs of runners to run three mountain marathons up Snowdon, Scafell Pike and Ben Nevis. Team Rho compete in the Tilman Trophy and so at least four of the sailors need to summit one mountain. This race also permits rowing.
