RYA Powerboat Level 2
RYA Powerboat Level 2 Course Content
The RYA Powerboat Level 2 course offers students an introduction to powerboating as well as teaching the basic skills, safety and confidence needed to skipper a small powerboat.
Learning to control a powerboat safely is fun and rewarding in the sheltered waters of the Solent. Learn to control a powerboat safely at high speed as well as the finesse needed to berth alongside at the end of the day.
We run the RYA Powerboat Level 2 courses over a 2 day weekend from our base in Hamble. Accommodation is available during the course at no extra cost.
After your course
You will be able to skipper a small powerboat by day in familiar waters. Upon successful completion of the RYA Powerboat level 2 course you will have gained a recognised qualification which is accepted in a number of countries as confirmation of your competence to charter a boat.
If you are planning to charter with your RYA Powerboat Level 2 certificate we would recommend checking with your charter company to ensure that they accept the RYA Powerboat Level 2 as evidence of competence. Some charter companies may insist on an ICC (International Certificate of Competency). If this is the case your RYA powerboat Level 2 certificate can be used to gain the ICC. Please visit our ICC page to download the ICC application form.
