JOG St Vaast 2016
The JOG St Vaast race is an overnight race to the French town of St Vaast, located on the Normandy coast and the scene of the Battle of La Hougue on 3rd June 1692 during the Nine Year War. Following the French defeat two fortified towers were build to protect the harbour. The harbour has been developed with two large hydraulic gates keeping the water level constant at low tide and allowing the construction of a large marina.
After the race there will be time to explore before cruising back to Hamble on Sunday night
