Ireland Mile Builder
The Equinox Ireland Mile Builder is great opportunity for sailors of all levels to gain more experience. Sail at night and out of sight of land, experience living and eating on board all under the watchful eye of your skipper/instructor
Its ideal opportunity for RYA Day Skippers to gain experience and work towards their RYA Coastal Skipper or their RYA Yachtmaster Qualifications. There will be 6 opportunities to skipper a 60 mile passage under instruction while following one of the most famous offshore race routes.
The Fastnet Race is a 620 mile nonstop race starting in Cowes and finishing in Plymouth. The Equinox Ireland Mile Builder will follow the same route as the Fastnet Race but at a more leisurely pace. With stopovers in Plymouth, Kinsale, Schull, Cork and Falmouth the crew will experience overnight passages with the opportunity to catch up on some sleep and enjoy the local cuisine and hospitality.
You can join the boat for the whole trip or just half as there is a changeover possible in Schull which is just a short bus ride from Cork with daily flights to London.
Your skipper will be an RYA Qualified Instructor so you will have the opportunity to learn as you cruise over 800 nm in 2 weeks.
