RYA Day Skipper Theory Course Content A comprehensive introduction to navigation and safety, this course equips you with enough knowledge to navigate around familiar waters by day. A basic knowledge of lights is also included to introduce you to night cruising.
Subjects include:-
- Charts and publications
- Tides and how to use them
- Weather forecasting
- Position fixing
- Use of electronic navigation
- Emergency and safety procedures including distress calls, use of flares, safety harnesses, lifejackets and liferafts
Short on time why not try our Intensive Day Skipper course that combines RYA Day Skipper Theory and RYA Day Skipper Practical into one course.

All training materials, Almanac and exams are included.
You will need to bring – Pen, 2B pencil, eraser, paper and a Portland plotter and dividers.
We can provide a Portland plotter and dividers for £20 please mention when ordering
