Sail from Oban to the Outer Hebrides, and possibly onto St Kilda, returning to Oban after 8 days of cruising and exploring.
This trip will be an opportunity to sail through the spectacular Highlands, including the Inner and Outer Hebrides; with its stunning scenery and wildlife, this trip will appeal to bird watchers, photographers and adventure sailors.
Besides the relaxing cruising this is an opportunity for sailors of all levels to gain more experience and work towards the next level RYA qualification. There will be opportunities to skipper a passage under instruction.
The trip will start and finish in Oban. Due to the nature of the area we will be sailing, heavy weather options are planned if required. Please note reaching St Kilda will be weather-dependent.
Your skipper will be an RYA Qualified Instructor so you will have the opportunity to learn as you cruise over 8 days.
St Kilda Adventure Cruise Itinerary
The exact itinerary will be dictated by the forecast, but we plan on visiting as many different ports as possible during the 7 days.
Meals while sailing are included.
Mooring fees, fuel and boat costs are included. Flights or transfers to/from Oban are not included.

The Equinox Scotland-Solent mile builder is a great opportunity for sailors of all levels to gain more experience and enjoy some excellent sea passages. Sail at night and out of sight of land, experience living and eating on board all under the watchful eye of your skipper/instructor. En route to our home marina in Hamble we will sail along the West coast of Scotland and the Irish Sea, then South to Lands End and along the South coast of England.
The trip will be an opportunity for RYA Day Skippers to gain experience and work towards their RYA Coastal Skipper or their RYA Yachtmaster Qualifications. There will be the two opportunities to skipper a 200 + mile passage under instruction, or shorter passages between stopping ports.
Rho will be completing a number of summer cruises around the Highlands and the Inner and Outer Hebrides. This trip is the delivery of the boat to Hamble after the race over 9 days in late summer. This is a one-way trip but there are good transport links in to Oban, by plane, bus or train.
Your skipper will be an RYA Qualified Instructor so you will have the opportunity to learn as you cruise over 600 nm and we expect the trip to take 9 days, including stop-overs in Scotland, Wales and the West Country.
We plan to stop en route, the stopping points will be decided by the skipper and based on weather but may include Jura, the North coast of Ulster, Holyhead and Falmouth.
Total mileage – 600+ nm
