Cowes Week 2012
Friday 10th August 22.00
Simon Wilson Skipper
Well the weather Gods are being very generous. With a forecast of 2-3 knots of wind we slipped mooring this morning not knowing what to expect. Thankfully the forecast was accurate, so with 6-7 knots we managed to get sailing and started some tackling drills.
We made slow progress but managed to get any niggles ironed out and set our sights for Osbourn Bay.
The wind started to build and after a few practice mark roundings we settled on anchor for lunch In Osbourn Bay.
After a quick lunch we slipped our anchor and headed for Cowes. The wind had built a little and decided to have a little spinnaker practice. After a couple of gybes we had a perfect drop and made our way into Cowes to find our berth.
We are currently relaxing having a few drinks and meeting the rest of the crew looking forward to tomorrows racing.
